  • If an injury is sustained at a game or at training and as a result you have incurred out of pocket expenses, then you may make a claim under the associations insurance. You will need to contact the relevant stadium and they will advise on what is required.  It is important in these situations that the injury was reported to the stadium and club in the first instance
  • If an injury is sustained outside of a game or training, then an email notifying the club will suffice.
  • In all cases where a player will not be able to play for two or more games irrespective of how the injury is sustained, a medical certificate or letter clearly stating how longer is player is unable to play is required to be submitted to the club.  This will ensure that your child qualifies for finals and is not disadvantaged as a result of his/her injury

All documentation and/or notification of an injury should be submitted to either [email protected] or [email protected]

Medical
The club is required to maintain a register of all injuries irrespective of whether the injury has been sustained at basketball or not.  The main reason for this is so that we can ensure that your child qualifies for finals in the event that child hasn’t actually played 7 games for the season.  It also serves as a record for Insurance purposes.

A copy of the clubs policy and injury report as well as a copy of the associations insurance for your information.

In summary:
  • If an injury is sustained during a game and medical assistance is required i.e a supervisor is called or first aid is provided by a qualified person or an ambulance is called, then a stadium report is required to be completed as well as a club report
